APV SWcip4 Double Seal Valve
The SWcip4 Double Seal Valve is the valve which is just right for isolation between your CIP media tank and the CIP supply and CIP return line. It is suitable for all industries – exclusively for isolation between CIP media tank and CIP supply as well as CIP return line applications.

- Profile seals that eliminate gaps and ease ordering of spares due to ID-numbering
- Mix proof separation of CIP media
- Easy to maintain due to low weight, few seals and maintenance-free actuator

APV SD4 Double Seal Valve
APV SD4 valves are safe flow valves designed for safe media separation applications in the food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. It is available as a shut-off, change-over and tank bottom valve. Other configurations are available on request.
Main features:
- Leakage chamber arranged between the seat seals; the leakage chamber being forcibly closed (open valve) by the two leakage discharge valves (NO) or opened to the atmosphere (closed valve).
- Excellent hygienic characteristics primarily due to the ball-shaped housing without sump or dome.
- Profile seat seals providing crevice-free sealing and the compression of the seat seals is controlled by a metallic stop.
- All product-wetted parts are made of AISI 316L / 1.4404 (DIN EN 100888).

SD4 Double Seal Valve Open and Closed Positions

APV MS4 and MSP4 Aseptic Valve
The APV MS4 and MSP4 aseptic single seat valves are designed for aseptic applications in the food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The valves are available in shut-off or change-over design as well as for manifold or tank outlet applications.

APV DA3+ Double Seat Mix Proof Valve
The APV DELTA DA3+ is a modern, ultra-hygienic double seat mixproof valve with seat lift function, designed to meet the challenging demands of hygienic processing. The valve is the result of continued development and improvement of its preceding models and has proven its reliability in many different applications for many years.

APV DE3 Double Seat Mix Proof Valve
The APV DELTA DE3 double seat valve provides all features of a modern mix proof valve: Water hammer safety, low leakage change-over operation as well as easy service and maintenance. For applications which do not require a seat lifting function during CIP, this valve represents a cost effective alternative to the sophisticated APV DELTA DA3+ valve.

D4 Series Double Seat Mix Proof Valve
The next generation of mix proof valve technology is the result of continued development from both APV and Waukesha Cherry-Burrell process technologies. Used for the reliable separation of dissimilar fluids, the D4 Series helps fulfill today’s customer demands for production flexibility, increased productivity, rapid return on investment (ROI), and improved product quality across the Food & Beverage, Dairy, Personal Care and Brewing process industries.
Operating Principle
Double seat mix proof valves are used to efficiently process two different fluids (typically product and CIP) through the valve simultaneously. The mix proof design has two seats which isolate the upper and lower pipe lines when the valve is in the fail-safe closed position. The atmospheric vent cavity in between the seats creates a path for any leakage should the seals fail as well as a drain for CIP solution during seat cleaning. An external CIP spray flush is included to provide enhanced cleaning of the leakage and vent cavity while the valve is closed or open during production.
